Svmuu News World's official blog announced that the WLD token unlock rate will automatically decrease by approximately 43% starting July 24, 2026. Currently, 4.9 billion WLD (49% of the total supply) have been unlocked, with approximately 3.3 billion in circulation. Specifically, the unlock rate for the World community portion will decrease from 3.2 million per day to 1.6 million per day, a 50% reduction; the unlock rate for the team and investor portion will decrease from 1.9 million per day to 1.3 million per day, a 32% reduction. The overall daily unlock amount will decrease from approximately 5.1 million to about 2.9 million.
WLD employs a continuous linear unlock mechanism with no large one-time unlocks (cliff). This rate reduction stems from predetermined on-chain contract arrangements, aiming to gradually slow the pace of selling pressure.
