The U.S. Central Command, through the Combined Maritime Information Center, issued a notice stating that Iran continues to attempt to hinder mine-clearing operations and safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and any vessel found to be involved in mine-laying activities could become a target for U.S. forces. Meanwhile, the U.S. military stated that it is still enforcing maritime blockade measures against Iran. As of May 29, it has forced 115 commercial vessels to change course.
