Serenity explained that Wendy’s has long been a classic meme in the U.S. retail investor community, originating from the internet joke that “investors end up working at Wendy’s after their 0DTE options expire,” which has given it high visibility within speculative trading culture.
Serenity noted that it remains uncertain whether this community-driven “Save Wendy’s” campaign will ultimately succeed, and emphasized that she does not hold any positions in the stock, but simply finds the phenomenon “very interesting.”
