Svmuu News: At a press conference held on June 25, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate reported that procuratorial organs have thoroughly investigated crimes involving “self-laundering” and “third-party money laundering,” vigorously advanced the recovery of drug-related assets, and ensured comprehensive coverage in the investigation and prosecution of drug-related money laundering crimes.
From January 2025 to May 2026, procuratorial organs nationwide prosecuted more than 1,200 individuals for drug-related money laundering crimes. Among these cases was the major cross-border drug smuggling, trafficking, transportation, and money laundering case involving Li Mobo and others—which was supervised by the Supreme People’s Procuratorate and handled by the Chongqing procuratorial organs. In that case, Li Mobo laundered more than 48 million yuan through virtual currency and was sentenced to death in accordance with the law for multiple offenses. (Xinhua News Agency)
