Danske Bank expects Federal Reserve to raise interest rates at least twice
Svmuu News: In a report, Danske Bank Senior Analyst Kirstine Kundby-Nielsen and Chief Analyst Jens Peter Sorensen stated thatFederal Reserve is expected to raise interest rates twice, in December 2026 and March 2027, bringing the federal funds rate to 4.00%–4.25%. They noted, however, that there is a risk that rate hikes could come sooner, and that the number of hikes could exceed two.Analysts at Danske Bank also noted that Kevin Warsh’s first meeting as chair of the Federal Reserve sent a clear signal that the Federal Reserve is increasingly moving away from forward guidance regarding future monetary policy decisions, and that future policy decisions will involve greater discretion.
