Svmuu News: The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has announced that the “no-action” arrangement for digital asset firms under the new licensing framework has been extended through September 30, 2026. During this period, digital asset companies providing financial services may continue to apply for or amend their Australian Financial Services (AFS) licenses, and a new model has been introduced allowing them to operate through authorized representatives or intermediary arrangements of AFS licensees. The extension also applies to entities required to apply for a market license or a Clearing and Settlement (CS) license; such entities must notify ASIC in writing of their intention to apply and engage in pre-application consultations. ASIC stated that since the October 2025 update to the INFO 225 guidance, it has received approximately 30 license applications from digital asset firms.
