Starting yesterday afternoon, NFP rose from $0.004412 to $0.04391 within 13 hours—an 895% increase—triggering liquidations of short positions; then, within 6 hours early this morning, it fell by 82.36%, triggering liquidations of long positions. Following the simultaneous liquidation of both long and short positions, open interest (OI) has shrunk by 90% from its short-term peak.
