Svmuu News: The Zcash development team has announced plans to introduce formal verification through Ironwood, a new privacy pool set to launch soon, in order to mathematically eliminate the risk of “undetectable counterfeiting.”
As previously reported, although the vulnerability in the Orchard shielding pool has been fixed and there is currently no evidence of exploitation, the community decided to launch the new Ironwood shielding pool and conduct a comprehensive formal verification of its protocol, as it is theoretically impossible to confirm through on-chain history whether covert counterfeiting has ever occurred.
