Apple accuses OpenAI of stealing trade secrets; OpenAI says the allegations are baseless
Svmuu News: In response to Apple’s trade secret lawsuit, OpenAI stated that it has found no evidence to support the allegations, emphasizing its commitment to fair competition and the free flow of talent, and noting that it is currently focused on independently developing innovative technologies. Apple recently filed a lawsuit alleging that OpenAI, in an effort to develop AI hardware products, is suspected of using former Apple employees to obtain the company’s trade secrets. Apple also accused OpenAI’s hardware team of inducing job applicants to bring internal Apple documents with them and of assisting them in circumventing the company’s security screening. A former iPhone engineer who left Apple this year to join OpenAI was also accused of illegally obtaining internal documents, such as engineering presentation slides. Apple claimed that OpenAI’s hardware team is built on shaky ground and is fundamentally corrupt.
