Svmuu News: According to Matt Corva’s findings, a security incident occurred at MetaMask in which a North Korean hacker named Tyler Knapp infiltrated the team. The hacker gained access to MetaMask through an outsourced human resources provider with whom the company had a long-standing partnership, bypassing the background checks typically conducted for direct hires. He worked at the company for one month, participating in the development of the wallet’s fiat deposit and withdrawal features. During this time, the company’s security monitoring system detected anomalies in his IP address and behavior. The company immediately revoked all his access privileges and suspended all product releases he had been involved in. No substantial data or financial losses have been reported at this time.
