Svmuu News: Japanese logistics company AZ-COM Maruwa Holdings plans to use the yen-pegged stablecoin JPYC to make payments to approximately 2,300 business partners, in what is expected to be JPYC’s first large-scale corporate application in Japan.
The stablecoin will be used to pay fees and compensation to individual contractors handling transportation services, including truck drivers. AZ-COM Maruwa stated that using JPYC enables faster, more frequent payments without any transfer fees.
AZ-COM Maruwa is also considering a partnership with JPYC and plans to invest over 1 billion yen, equivalent to approximately $6.2 million. AZ-COM Maruwa is a mid-sized Japanese logistics company whose major clients include Amazon Japan.
