Svmuu News: Prominent trader Ansem asked data providers such as Blockworks on X, “Has anyone ever tallied exactly how many liquid funds there are in the crypto space, and what their total assets under management (AUM) are?”
Blockworks co-founder Jason Yanowitz replied: “I’d guess there are about 800 globally. I have 470 on my list (there were 1,500 as of early 2022), but there are likely another 40%–50% of funds that haven’t disclosed their information. Currently, about 250 are active, though most have very small assets under management—for example, small funds managed by two founders with AUM of perhaps just $10 million… The bulk of AUM is actually concentrated in the hands of just a few funds.”
Blockworks: There are currently about 250 active liquidity funds in the industry
