Svmuu News: Thanks to increased exports driven by the semiconductor industry’s peak season, South Korea’s per capita GDP is expected to rise significantly this year. According to data released on the 19th by South Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Bank of Korea, and the National Statistical Office, the country’s per capita GDP is projected to reach $39,164 this year—an increase of $2,750, or 7.6%, compared to the previous year. This marks the highest growth rate in nearly five years, since 2021 (11.5%). (Yonhap News)
