Svmuu News: On July 21, the Russian State Duma will hold second and third readings of a bill regarding the regulation of the cryptocurrency market within Russia. Introduced by Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the Financial Markets Committee, the bill aims to establish a legal framework for the legitimate use of cryptocurrencies in Russia and to combat related fraud and illegal uses. According to the regulatory framework previously proposed by the Bank of Russia, in addition to accredited investors, retail investors who pass a qualifying test will also be able to purchase highly liquid cryptocurrencies as defined by law, though the annual purchase limit per intermediary is capped at 300,000 rubles.
