Svmuu News: Hyperliquid will enable permissionless prediction market deployment as part of the follow-up enhancements to the HIP-4 upgrade, allowing anyone to create prediction markets on the platform. This feature will first launch on the testnet, followed by the mainnet; currently, these markets are entirely controlled by validators.
Hyperliquid stated that, ideally, validators will operate fewer than 10 markets per year, with the remaining markets open to external deployers. Deploying a market requires staking 500,000 HYPE, worth approximately $30 million; if validators determine that a market is poorly defined or contains settlement errors, the staked assets may be forfeited. Deployers can earn up to 50% of the transaction fees generated by that market.
