Svmuu News: Haseeb, a partner at Dragonfly, posted on X stating that, in response to questions about Pump.fun’s consistently flat revenue curve, he believes this phenomenon is not unusual and, viewed over the long term, closely resembles the overall trend in crypto spot trading volume.
Haseeb noted that some users suspect the data is anomalous because daily trading volume is too stable and lacks the typical weekend lulls, but he believes this view overlooks the participant structure of the meme coin market. Since meme coin trading is primarily driven by retail investors, it does not experience the significant weekend volume drops seen in markets like Hyperliquid, which are dominated by professional traders and hedge funds.
Haseeb said users can verify this by examining Pump.fun’s revenue data prior to the token launch; its revenue stability was similarly consistent before the launch, which does not indicate any anomalies. Additionally, he noted that trading terminals and Telegram bots account for a significant portion of the trading volume, so their revenue may not be highly correlated with Pump.fun’s own revenue.
