Svmuu News: Base co-founder Jesse Pollak posted that Robinhood Chain’s introduction of tokenized stocks in the EVM environment was one thing it got right, and he regretted that Base had previously lagged behind in this area.
Jesse Pollak noted that Base is set to partner with Coinbase to address this issue and plans to launch tokenized stock products backed 1:1 by underlying stock assets. He stated that, compared to the derivatives model offered by Robinhood, this approach will offer greater scalability in terms of trust, capital efficiency, and institutional adoption.
Jesse Pollak noted that combining the world’s largest capital markets with the EVM financial programmability on Base will create a powerful financial infrastructure.
