Svmuu News: According to data tracked by Axel Adler Jr., as of July 21, the Bitcoin’s supply concentration metric, the HHI (Herfindahl-Hirschman Index), stood at 1,116.1, exceeding 89.6% of historical observations over the past decade.Over the past 90 days, the index has risen by 5.5%, and over the past 180 days, it has risen by 10.1% cumulatively.
BitcoinThe evenness of the holding distribution continues to decline, with holdings concentrated among specific holding-period groups. The index’s rise was primarily driven by holdings with a 6- to 12-month holding period; within the past 90 days, the proportion of holdings with a 6- to 12-month holding period rose from 12.9% to 19.3%;while the share held by investors with 3- to 6-month holding periods fell from 14.3% to 6.3%; long-term holdings of over ten years accounted for 17.7% of the total.
This shift reflects the natural aging of existing holdings, with tokens flowing from the 3- to 6-month holding period to the 6- to 12-month holding period; it does not represent a new round of large-scale accumulation.Currently, 81.6% of the total Bitcoin supply has not been transferred for more than six months, and 62.3% of the Bitcoin has been idle for over a year.
Analyst: Hits a new high since December 2021; the Bitcoin’s supply concentration index reaches 1,116.1
