Lightning Labs Releases Wavelength Alpha, Providing a Payment Toolkit for Developers and AI Agents at Bitcoin
Svmuu News: Lightning Labs has released the alpha version of Wavelength. This toolkit provides developers and AI agents with self-hosted Bitcoin payment capabilities via a simple, non-custodial API—without the need to run nodes, manage channels, or source liquidity.Wavelength supports on-chain Bitcoin, Lightning Network payments, and Ark-like settlement layers. Each off-chain payment uses standard BOLT 11 invoices, enabling interoperability with the existing Lightning Network.AI agents can call APIs via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), hold balances, and pay for services such as API calls in the smallest units.
