Svmuu News: Rand, the founder of Zama, posted on X stating that Zama has launched the Confidential RFQ protocol, which is currently available in a private beta on the mainnet at Ethereum. A public release is expected in September, with multi-chain support to follow. The protocol is based on the ERC-7984 confidential token standard and uses sealed-bid auctions to allow professional market makers to compete to fill crypto trades, while keeping the trade size, direction, and asset type hidden throughout the process. The protocol allocates 100% of swap fees to repurchase and burn ZAMA tokens, with no front-end fees.Zama notes that large on-chain transactions currently still take place via over-the-counter (OTC) trades or dark pools, as traders need to avoid exposing their strategies.
