Svmuu News: The U.S. Department of Defense announced the signing of an enterprise software agreement with Oracle worth nearly $7 billion over a maximum term of 10 years. The agreement consolidates the Department of Defense’s existing on-premises software licenses into a single contract to reduce costs associated with fragmented procurement.The agreement, negotiated by the U.S. Department of the Navy, has a term of five years and includes a five-year renewal option, covering the U.S. Department of Defense, the Coast Guard, and intelligence agencies.Previously, in May of this year, the Pentagon signed a similar software consolidation agreement with Microsoft worth $9.69 billion over five years.
