Svmuu News: Mirae Asset has completed the acquisition of a 97.15% stake in Korbit, South Korea’s oldest cryptocurrency exchange, and has renamed it Digital X.
The company plans to develop Digital X into a smart investment platform that integrates real-world assets, security tokens, stablecoins, traditional assets, and digital assets within a single ecosystem.
Mirae Asset stated that it will not compete directly with dominant exchanges such as Upbit and Bithumb, but will instead focus on investor education, research, strict compliance standards, and institutional-grade infrastructure.
