Svmuu News: At the 2026 Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung announced that Samsung Wallet will support stablecoins and expand from cash and savings to include new forms of digital value, such as stablecoins. A demo screen showed the wallet app holding USDC from Circle, but Samsung did not mention USDC or USDT as partners for this initiative.
Samsung Product Manager Lee Dinham stated that Samsung Wallet will serve as the foundation of a financial ecosystem connecting Galaxy devices and services, integrating payments, rewards, and digital assets into a single experience. Samsung also launched its first credit card, the Samsung Galaxy Card, which offers users a 5% cashback reward on eligible purchases at brand stores and other participating merchants.
Samsung first introduced a built-in cryptocurrency wallet with the Galaxy S10 series in 2019, utilizing a hardware-backed security solution. In October of this year, Samsung announced that it would integrate the “Coinbase” subscription service, “Coinbase One,” into Samsung Wallet in the United States.
