According to a statement from the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Media Office cited by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the report published by The New York Times on Thursday was “completely baseless and has no connection to reality.” The Iraqi Prime Minister’s Media Office urged the media to “verify information, rely on official channels, and avoid spreading unverified reports or statements attributed to anonymous sources.” (Jin Shi)
