Svmuu News: Sberbank, Russia’s largest bank, plans to launch cryptocurrency trading infrastructure and digital custody services by December 1 to support the regulated financial system.
New Russian regulations on crypto trading, custody, and settlement will take effect on September 1, while requirements for licensed intermediaries will apply starting in July 2027.
Public crypto trading in Russia will be limited to assets that meet strict liquidity and market capitalization thresholds, and the use of crypto assets for payments for goods and services within the country remains prohibited.
