Svmuu News: On July 24, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang posted on social media, sharing a letter titled “Open Weights and U.S. AI Leadership” that calls for advancing the development of open-weight AI models.The letter Huang originally posted included 25 signatories. Today, the number of signatories has doubled to 50.
OpenAI is one of the 25 newly added organizations; others include Google, AMD, Cisco, Cloudflare, GitHub, Block, and Ollama. However, Anthropic and Amazon have never appeared on any version of the list, and the absence of these two companies is the most notable detail in the list. (Jin Shi)
