Svmuu News: Today (July 26), Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baghaei stated that Iran and Oman held multiple rounds of talks at the deputy foreign minister level in Tehran on July 24 and 25. Based on respect for the sovereign rights of Iran and Oman, the two coastal states, the two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on the common principles and specific operational mechanisms for ensuring the safe passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. Baghaei noted that the talks were productive and yielded some progress.
The Omani delegation departed Tehran on the afternoon of the 25th, but the two sides will continue consultations at both the technical and political levels. Additionally, Baghaei stated that the current situation regarding the passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz remains unchanged. (CCTV International News)
