Amazon.com is reportedly revamping its artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, winding down most of its in-house flagship Nova AI models, including Premier, Omni, Reel, and Canvas. The company is instead shifting resources towards a new frontier-model development, led by researcher Pieter Abbeel, with a new flagship model expected to debut at its "re:Invent" annual conference later this year. This move follows recent job trims in Amazon's artificial general intelligence (AGI) group, as the company aims to sharpen its focus on key initiatives.
