Republicans Launch Ads Attacking Democrats Over Opposition to Trump's Tariffs Ahead of 2026 Midterms
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has launched a digital advertising campaign targeting House Democrats and candidates who have opposed President Donald Trump's tariffs. The ads, running in 15 districts across several states, aim to link Democratic opposition to the tariffs with supporting China, ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. This comes as Trump recently reimposed new import duties on dozens of countries and the EU, and announced new tariffs of 10-12.5% on 60 trade partners, including China.
