Brookfield Asset Management expects approximately 6.5 gigawatts (GW) of artificial intelligence (AI) data-centre capacity to come online in India over the next five years. The global alternative asset manager's projection refers to India's wider data centre market, which currently has about 1.5 GW of installed capacity, mostly for non-AI uses. Brookfield also anticipates non-AI capacity in India to increase to around 3 GW during the same period.
