Tether, a digital asset company, announced on July 28, 2026, that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) in Kenya. The two parties will collaborate to explore use cases for digital assets, tokenization, blockchain technology, and digital asset education in Africa.The MoU aims to provide education on capital markets in the digital age to NSE-listed brokers and retail investors through training and workshops; support the development of blockchain-based market infrastructure for the tokenization and real-time settlement of securities; and explore the potential for tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs).In addition, the two parties will assess the feasibility of integrating USD₮ as a potential digital settlement infrastructure layer.
