Goldman Sachs: Global Hedge Funds Post 7% H1 Returns, Poised for Stellar Year on AI Boom
Global hedge funds returned an average of 7% in the first half of 2026, significantly outperforming their 10-year average of 4.1%, according to a Goldman Sachs report. The bank attributes this strong performance to the artificial intelligence (AI) boom. Goldman Sachs also noted record net demand from investors for hedge funds, with nearly half planning to increase their exposure in H2 2026.
