Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defence announced it carried out targeted strikes against Iran-backed armed groups in Iraq early on Wednesday, in coordination with US Central Command (CENTCOM). The strikes were a response to recent drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory that targeted Saudi petroleum facilities in the Eastern Province and Riyadh regions.
