Amazon (Amazon) will report its second-quarter earnings after the market closes this Thursday. The market expects investors to focus on the growth of its cloud computing division, Amazon Web Services (AWS), as well as the company’s capital expenditure plans in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Earlier, Alphabet, the parent company of Google, saw its stock price fall after raising its AI investment forecast.Analysts expect Amazon to report second-quarter earnings per share of $1.82 and revenue of $196.9 billion, with AWS revenue projected to reach $40.5 billion, a 31% increase year-over-year.
