U.S. Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff have written to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), urging it to investigate whether Donald Trump Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has violated the law by selling fast-access services to posts by President Donald Trump on the Truth Social platform.The senators believe this move may constitute an abuse of the presidency, harm the interests of ordinary investors and undermine market integrity, and may involve insider trading and market manipulation.TMTG plans to launch this service, called “Truth API,” on August 1.
