Ontario Securities Commission Survey: 25% of Canadians Now Own Crypto
A new survey by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) reveals that 25% of Canadians now own some form of cryptocurrency, a significant increase from 10% in 2023. The survey also found that 59% of Canadians are aware of crypto assets, and 52% believe crypto will play a future role in the country's financial system, up from 34% in 2023. Among investors with financial advisors, 39% reported their advisor recommended crypto purchases, nearly double the 19% from three years ago.
