OpenAI Cuts Prices on Entry-Level and Mid-Range AI Models; Luna Prices Drop 80%, Terra Prices Drop 20%
OpenAI announced Thursday that it is lowering the prices of its entry-level and mid-range AI models, with the price of the GPT-5.6 Luna model dropping by 80% and that of the mid-range Terra model by 20%. The move is aimed at addressing enterprises’ increasingly scrutiny of AI costs and strengthening its competitive position in the market, including against Chinese competitors. The price of OpenAI’s flagship Sol model remains unchanged.
