Minneapolis Fed President Kashkari Prefers Incremental Policy Tightening to Combat Inflation Risk
Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari stated he would rather tighten policy incrementally as more data on inflation and employment becomes available, to manage the risk of high inflation becoming entrenched. Kashkari believes a potential series of small policy moves would be better than waiting and eventually concluding that bolder actions are necessary if inflation remains elevated.
