Silver, a key component in AI data center infrastructure, has seen its price fall to approximately $58 per ounce. This marks a significant decline from its peak of over $115 per ounce reached in January 2026, which followed a rapid ascent from about $29 per ounce in April 2025. The earlier surge was driven by growing demand for silver in server connections, thermal paste, and high-frequency connectors for the massive AI data center build-out. Despite continued rising demand and constrained mining supply, the price has now halved from its peak.
