Dolby Laboratories (DLB) stock surged 11.7% on Friday morning after reporting mixed financial results for its fiscal Q3 2026. The company's revenue of $305 million missed analysts' forecast of $312 million, but its non-GAAP earnings of $0.69 per share exceeded the $0.67 forecast. GAAP earnings were $0.30 per share, down 37% year-over-year.

Despite the mixed Q3 performance, Dolby provided an optimistic outlook for Q4, projecting sales between $362 million and $392 million, representing at least 19% sequential growth. The company also anticipates Q4 GAAP profit of $0.78 to $0.93 per share, and full-year GAAP profits ranging from $2.62 to $2.77 on at least $1.4 billion in revenue.
