The financing, provided by Power Sustainable Infrastructure Credit (PSIC), will support the facility in York Region, designed to process up to 200,000 tonnes of organic waste annually. It is expected to produce 350,000-400,000 gigajoules of renewable natural gas and is noted as Canada's first biofuel plant to integrate carbon dioxide liquefaction technology. Commissioning is set for later this year, with formal operations beginning in early 2027.
