25 states sue Trump administration over latest global tariffs
A coalition of 25 Democratic-led states has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, arguing that its latest global tariffs, which impose 10% or 12.5% duties on imports from 60 trading partners, unlawfully replace duties previously struck down by courts. The states allege President Donald Trump exceeded his authority and bypassed legally required country-specific investigations when imposing these new duties.
