According to South Korean tech media ZDNet, Japan's Kioxia began mass production of its tenth-generation (BiCS 10) 3D NAND in early July, and on this basis, completed the commercialization of its PCIe 6.0 enterprise-grade solid-state drive CM10. Samsung Electronics also announced the mass production of its PCIe 6.0 eSSD product PM1763 during the same period, and disclosed that its tenth-generation V-NAND (V10) will begin mass production this month. The two giants are simultaneously advancing the commercialization of their latest-spec products to meet the urgent demand for high-performance storage in AI data centers and the edge AI market. This is expected to accelerate the storage performance upgrade process in related markets and have a profound impact on the existing supply landscape.
