In July, NVIDIA signed an open letter alongside more than 200 companies and organizations, arguing that AI leadership should be measured by the reach of an open ecosystem into every sector, rather than by a single frontier model. The company emphasizes that open models, which allow anyone to download, inspect, modify, and run on their own infrastructure, are crucial for achieving this, especially in physical AI. NVIDIA also highlighted its Cosmos 3 open world model family, which combines vision reasoning, world generation, and action prediction, and is being adopted across robotics, autonomous vehicles, and vision AI applications.
