Eight Arab and Muslim countries strongly denounce Israeli violations in Gaza, demand protection for medics
The foreign ministers of the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt issued a joint statement on Thursday, condemning Israel's ongoing actions in Gaza. They specifically highlighted the targeting of healthcare facilities, medical infrastructure, and civilian areas, calling it a "grave" breach of international humanitarian law. The group stressed the legal obligation to protect medical facilities and workers, and to ensure the immediate, unhindered delivery of aid across Gaza. Hamas welcomed the statement, urging signatory states and mediators to act to stop Israel from "sabotaging the agreement" signed in October.
