Research and brokerage firm Bernstein released a report with differentiated ratings for two Bitcoin miners, CleanSpark (CLSK) and MARA Holdings (MARA), that are transitioning to AI infrastructure. Bernstein upgraded CleanSpark's rating to "Outperform" with a price target of $24, citing its progress in AI leasing, including signing an anchor tenant and commencing data center construction, and a $6.6 billion 20-year triple-net lease agreement covering 175 MW of IT capacity at its Sandersville, Georgia site. Meanwhile, Bernstein maintained MARA's "Market Perform" rating with a price target of $17, as it is still awaiting its first commercial AI contract, despite management expressing confidence in signing at least two AI lease agreements by year-end.
