The proposed amendments, part of XRPL version 3.3.0 released this week, aim to allow institutions to encrypt token balances and transfer amounts for Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPT). While accounts and token types remain visible, individual balances and payment amounts can be hidden, addressing a key privacy concern for institutional users. The ledger currently holds over $530 million in tracked tokenized real-world assets (excluding RLUSD). The amendments require at least 80% support from trusted validators for two weeks to activate.
