Nokia Signs 5G Expansion Agreement with Taiwan Mobile to Deploy AI-Driven Network Software and Hardware
Nokia signed a 5G expansion agreement with Taiwan Mobile on July 14 to deploy its AirScale portfolio and AI-driven software across the carrier's network. This deal is part of Nokia's broader strategy to build AI-native mobile infrastructure, aiming to address the anticipated surge in AI traffic. The deployment will support 5G-Advanced features and includes Nokia's AI for Network software, next-generation baseband and radio hardware, AI-powered energy management, and AI-enabled self-healing capabilities. Nokia has also deepened its partnership with Nvidia, with its AI-RAN base stations running on Nvidia GPUs.
