According to the latest data from the Statistical Center of Iran, the food inflation rate year-on-year increased by 128% in the Iranian month of Tir (June 21 to July 20). Among these, the prices of oils and fats saw the highest increase, rising by 261.5% year-on-year; dairy products increased by 147.1%; red meat, white meat, and their products increased by 145.2%; and bread and cereals increased by 116.7%. Many Iranian families are facing a decline in purchasing power and a sharp increase in living cost pressures, with even the affluent class beginning to feel the impact of inflation.
