Experts warn Israel's 'Green Rafah' plan, which quietly received a green light for infrastructure work in southern Gaza, aims to fragment the enclave and force mass displacement.
The project, backed by Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz, is described as an Emirati-backed pilot for temporary housing free of Hamas influence. However, experts argue it is designed to create isolated cantons under Israeli control, undermining the Palestinian cause and using humanitarian issues to push for migration. Netanyahu also rejected the US-led Board of Peace's plan for Gaza, stating an Israeli pull-out would not happen until Hamas is fully disarmed.
